Living Journeys Peak Hike

The mission of Living Journeys is to provide financial and emotional support, education and awareness to Gunnison county residents living with cancer and their loved ones.  The Crested Butte Summit Hike is our primary fundraising event to benefit men, women and children living with cancer in the Gunnison Valley.  Money raised from the hike helps recipients pay medical bills and alleviate the stress of daily living expenses during their cancer treatments.  Crested Butte Mountain is situated in the heart of the West Elk mountains in southwestern Colorado.  The summit of Crested Butte Mountain is 12,162 feet.  Participants may hike the entire 11.5 miles round trip or modify the hike by riding the chair lift and hiking the 2 mile round trip alpine trail to the peak.  Everyone is encouraged to take their time, have fun and honor those whose lives have been touched by cancer.  Registration fee is $50.00 and each hiker is encouraged to raise additional funds through pledges.  For more information please visit our website at www.livingjourneys.org
